Share the Love

I know how it is, searching for that PERFECT gift that they will actually remember. New socks? Meh. Is that new vacuum reallllly a good idea? I think not. And is that new video game system for youuuuu or for them? Be honest. Here are some ideas from my shop that might just satisfy that long quest of finding something they'll remember and love.

A custom pet portrait

Your loved one might just love your pet more than you, so it's a good gift to consider! (kidding...) . I haven't promoted these often, but they are still available to those that inquire. All pets are welcome, and we can adjust sizes to fit your budget. Be warned, the portrait is only as good as the photo reference provided, so I'm notoriously picky about getting the right angle and lighting. Given the time needed to prepare the pet portrait, a certificate will be made and sent to be redeemed. Message me directly at [email protected] if interested.

A limited Farm and Flower Book

There's only 75 of these out in the wild, and upon request I'm happy to write in a message to make it even more special. They are all signed and numbered, but if you have a specific number that you want, we might be able to make that happen. No promises though! The book has some of my most popular farm, flower, and kitchen pieces.

Admission to a painting workshop

My first ever workshop is with the Urban Sketcher's of the SF Bay Area's 10x10 workshops. 10 teachers will be instructing 10 courses! 9/15 spots are taken for my workshop "Catching Light", so you'll need to act fast on this one, or sign up with one of the other amazing teachers! The instructors are carefully selected, so you are sure to learn plenty from any of these courses.

An Original Painting

If you've ever bought an original painting, you know that excited feeling you get. That painting is SPECIAL. Each piece is lovingly created and the subject matter always has a story behind it. Having it properly framed can make it a life long present that brings joy every time they see it. Each of my pieces come with a hand written note, and care instructions, and for a limited time - a free 2019 calendar!

Last but never least...Chicken Butts.

We have two new chicken butt pins available, and they definitely have brought smiles to a lot of faces. The newest is of our hen Pebble's fluffy toosh, and has extra flare with purple and green sparkle feathers to imitate the iridescent colors in real life.

Don't forget the card! We have plenty of flower cards that will be perfect for the occasion. Do you want a tailored note in it? I will happily offer to write in them in my 6-year old boy's handwriting, and confess my undying love and admiration.

Obviously these are all gifts that will partially help support this crazy fine-art career adventure of mine, but even if you don't see anything you like here, be sure to shop small and support the many artists out there trying to share their passion with the world. BTW, FREE SHIPPING within the US until 2/15/2019 with the code "IAMLOVED" (and yes,  you are!).

Here are some links to some other artists with really beautiful work that you should consider! And if you find yourself kind of feeling down because maybe you are in a rocky relationship or you are flying solo, then fricken treat yourself! Or just take a minute to message me and say hi, and maybe I can send you a valentines day card. <3

MORE STUFF FROM COOL PEOPLE

All the way from across the world is this wonderful artist, Sandra Pelly. She creates beautiful handmade jewelry with such fantastic dreamy colors that you could lose yourself in!

Speaking of jewelry, don't miss Melanie Golden's stunning pieces. Her work is so diverse, but this is a personal favorite of mine.

And I couldn't describe the book any better, except that just look at those ink drawings! This is from artist Terry Furry who works out of Studios Eleven (where my solo show is). "A 52-week undated planner featuring a collection of inspiring and thought-provoking essays on the people, history, and lexicon defining the diverse gay community. Not just for gays -- although your lesbian niece will totally love it! -- The Gay Agenda will appeal to anyone who wants to gain an insider’s perspective on LGBTQ history, people, and terminology. Each entry is accompanied by an original ink drawing by Oakland artist, Terry Furry."

There are some really great prints at illustrator Kim Herbst's store. Her award winning art is eye-catching with dramatic and flowing compositions.

I know this would be on top of my list, but an original painting from my friend Christopher Greco (really, the guy that got me into fine art) is something to treasure for a lifetime! His colors and compositions are so thoughtful and expertly executed. You would be wise to purchase now, because his work will be recognized...

For art+science lovers, this gift will really wow them. I've gotten several mystery boxes because they are the best thing ever. Anatomika Science is truly passionate about helping others learn, and takes great care in describing the items. It's educational, beautiful, and incredibly unique.

Looking for something extra sweet? Check out my friend Christine Nguyen's cute etsy stores! The designs are so cheerful and will definitely brighten someone's day. The Violette Piglet has all of these beautiful hand painted creations, and the Tiger Bomb Xtine

shop is filled with adorable digital designs!
